Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (Kongsberg PCS) today announced the expansion of its C-Series digital finishing tables with the introduction of the compact new C20 - the smallest high-speed production table on the market.

The new Kongsberg C20 combines all the technical features of the market-leading Kongsberg C-Series - known as the most productive cutting tables on the market - in a compact size of just 1.6m x 1.4m. Although the C20 is the smallest of the Kongsberg C-Series, it has the same technical features and specifications as its larger counterparts.
"We know that both industrial manufacturers and small sign shops need a high-speed cutting table to keep up with the manufacturing process, but floor space is at a premium," said Stuart Fox, president, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems. "The high cost of owning or renting space is a serious issue for many in the sign and display market. With the new Kongsberg C20, there is no longer a need for these companies to compromise production and quality due to lack of space."
State-of-the-art, totally reliable technology ensures that the Kongsberg C-Series offers the highest level of performance. The cutting table uses aerospace technologies combined with an aluminium composite work surface, rack and pinion gearing and dynamic table mapping, resulting in the highest cutting accuracy and consistency. Multiple tool combinations are possible during production and the tooling system features a material thickness measurement probe and an optional camera for printed and unprinted material registration.
"Like our entire C-Series, the Kongsberg high-performance tool has been specifically designed to further increase turnaround time and quality for users," adds Stuart. "The Kongsberg C20 is an investment that will help take user creativity and production to a new level."
"Achieving optimum performance in a much smaller footprint is a real game changer for the sign and display market."
