Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems ("Kongsberg PCS") will showcase its latest digital finishing innovations at the highly anticipated return of the FESPA Global Print Expo next month.

Kongsberg PCS will demonstrate at the Expo how advances in technology can increase creative freedom in print, display and packaging production. The company will showcase its new compact C20 - the smallest high-speed production table on the market - along with its unique VariAngle tool, which enables cutting at any angle between 0o and 60o at high speeds. The Kongsberg PCS stand will also feature the impressive C64 digital finishing system together with the Motorised Roller Feeder. This will give visitors the opportunity to see for themselves how this combination facilitates the continuous production of high volumes of wide format soft signage and textile jobs.
This year's FESPA Global Print Expo, which takes place from 12-15 October at the RAI Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, marks the return of the live event after being postponed last year. "We are very excited to be making our debut at FESPA - our first visit since becoming a standalone company earlier this year," said Wim Brunsting, sales director for Europe and the Middle East (EMEA) at Kongsberg PCS. "We will be showcasing our latest digital finishing innovations and look forward to giving visitors the opportunity to experience our advanced Kongsberg solutions first-hand and share our vision for the future."
During the four-day event, the Kongsberg PCS team will be on hand to answer questions and host a series of presentations and demonstrations at the Kongsberg stand M70 in Hall 5 of the RAI Exhibition Centre.
"The new Kongsberg C20 may be the smallest of the Kongsberg C-series, but visitors will be amazed at how it can offer all the professional features of its larger counterparts despite its compact size of just 1.6m x 1.4m," says Wim Brunsting. "Both industrial and small sign makers need a high-speed cutting table to keep up with the manufacturing process. But space is at a premium and the high cost of purchasing or renting premises is a serious problem for many sign makers," said Wim Brunsting. "With the new Kongsberg C20, these companies no longer have to compromise on production and quality simply because they don't have enough space."
"With the VariAngle tool attached to the C20, previous limitations for designers are removed, giving them complete freedom in designing their 3D displays," added Wim Brunsting. "This not only results in higher customer satisfaction, but also increases efficiency and productivity. The Kongsberg VariAngle eliminates the need to stop production during tool changes, which drastically reduces set-up times and increases cutting speed."
The Kongsberg PCS stand will also feature one of its larger digital cutting solutions, the Kongsberg C64. "The C64 cutting table impresses with its very high performance," says Wim Brunsting. "Its state-of-the-art technology from the engineering, aerospace and aviation sectors ensures the highest cutting accuracy and consistency. Visitors will be able to see in person how, in conjunction with Kongsberg's Motorised Roller Feeder, it simplifies the continuous production of high volumes of wide format soft material and textile signage."
With the Motorised Roller Feeder, you achieve a perfect final cut through the interaction of innovative functions - even with challenging and stretchy materials. The integrated Kongsberg iPC software compensates for any distortion and a curve registration algorithm determines the exact cut size, taking into account all material properties for shrinking, stretching or fusing.
"We are very much looking forward to welcoming FESPA visitors to the Kongsberg PCS stand and demonstrating how Kongsberg's cutting solutions and various tooling options can help bring the most creative designs to life," added Wim Brunsting.
