New year, new business at the upcoming Heimtextil: Within just a few months, more than 75 exhibitors have already signaled strong interest in participating in the new Carpets & Rugs product segment, which extends over an entire hall level. Further promising participations are in prospect. The positive response comes from a wide range of nations - including commitments already received from Egypt, Bangladesh, China, Greece, India, Italy and Turkey. Starting with the next edition, Heimtextil is thus successfully expanding its global range of home and household textiles even further.

Heimtextil 2024 shines with strong national and global demand across all product segments. More than 2,600 exhibitors present their new products in Frankfurt am Main. The global trade fair for home and contract textiles also forms the launch of Econogy, a realignment of sustainable formats in the global Texpertise Network. Econogy standardizes the evaluation criteria of all Messe Frankfurt textile events and creates cross-fair transparency for resource-saving products and exhibitors.

The Dining section of Ambiente is the unrivalled number one worldwide when it comes to household, table and kitchen. For 2024, the successful segment of the leading international consumer goods fair will continue to grow in terms of space – and will once again occupy the entire western section of Frankfurt exhibition grounds.

Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network will in future realign its sustainability event formats at its more than 50 textile trade fairs around the world. The information, discussion, education and networking formats for sustainable business will then be entitled ‘Econogy’. The basis for this is the new common identity of the international textile trade fairs. With this step, Messe Frankfurt’s textile events are focusing even more strongly on sustainability as a topical issue and an increasing sales driver in the global textile industry.

Change of personnel at Heimtextil: Margit Herberth will be responsible for the home Textiles segment of Heimtextil as director from 1 September 2023 and, together with Bettina Bär, will form the new dual leadership of the leading trade fair for home and contract textiles. Herberth, previously Director Marketing Consumer Goods / Multimedia & Data at Messe Frankfurt, succeeds Meike Kern, who is leaving the company of her own volition after 22 years to take on a new professional challenge.
