Sentec International, a leading supplier in specialized large-format print materials and brand-owner of Digital Magnetics®, proudly announces a major sustainability milestone: it is the first printable magnetic film supplier to complete a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of its magnetic product range.
The study compared their latest generation of printable magnetic films, called MagScience – to their traditional print magnets. The results are clear: MagScience by Digital Magnetics® offers a 31% lower climate impact over its full life cycle, marking a significant step forward in sustainable printable magnetic media solutions.
"We already knew that with MagScience, we had brought a true next-generation solution to the market," said Guus Richter, CEO of Sentec International. "Our customers are already benefiting from its operational and cost-saving advantages over traditional PVC magnets. MagScience is a big success. Now, being able to demonstrate a 31% lower climate impact is fantastic—it gives our customers a clear sustainability edge."
The LCA was conducted by Hedgehog Company in line with internationally recognized standards (ISO 14040/44) and evaluated every stage of the product lifecycle, including raw material extraction, production, transportation, use, and end-of-life.
The findings confirm MagScience by Digital Magnetics® as a more environmentally responsible choice for printers, marketers, and brands seeking to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising quality.
"Printed magnetic films are widely used in retail settings, where advertising campaigns need to be changed clean and quickly. We encourage brand owners and retail chains to specify MagScience as their first solution, making the switch to support a more sustainable market," said Guus Richter, CEO of Sentec International
As sustainability demands increase across industries, Sentec International is proud to lead by example, providing transparent data and actionable solutions to support greener business practices.
