Global Imaging is a grand format printing solutions provider, curating exceptional devices to the industry for more than 20 years. The company recently guided Lake Graphics Label & Sign in the acquisition of multiple pieces of new equipment: the Durst Rhotex 325, Monti Antonio calender, and Impulsa industrial sewing equipment. These acquisitions will open the door to an entirely new market segment for this 8-year-old company.

Lake Graphics Label & Sign Company, based in Cleveland, Ohio, is an all-digital producer for labels, decals, signs, large-format prints, finishing, and now with their recent acquisitions – fabric printing services. Largely involved in wholesale production in their fabric business, Lake Graphics specializes in identifying unique solutions to application issues, and delivering white-label products seamlessly. While the company was initially interested in franchise operations, they chose instead to direct their efforts to offering wholesale customers expanded capabilities, and choosing the right devices has been critical for this strategy.

In supporting Lake Graphics with their expansion into fabric offerings, Global Imaging not only helped identify the best piece of equipment for the company’s needs – but it also provided all of the financing through Global Imaging Financing, along with strategic guidance on moving Lake Graphics into more lucrative work. Says Founder and President Mark Tangry:

“The people at Global Imaging opened my eyes to what our business could be like if we only settled for the best ... Their recent VIP event was not only educational, but I made great contacts with owners of businesses much larger than mine, as well as all the vendors including Durst, who attended. These discussions gave me very candid opinions on what has worked or not worked for others, and helped me identify Durst as the manufacturer and Global as the vendor of choice. I feel confident that I have true partners to help me be successful.”

Mr. Tangry also had good things to say about Global Imaging’s partner company – the country’s largest marketplace for used grand format equipment – Global Garage: “I have bought / sold several pieces of equipment on Global Garage and every time the experience was perfect. They really know the market and are upfront about what your machine will sell for.”

The new Durst Rhotex 325 has given Lake Graphics entry into the fabric printing market. While they will initially offer the service to their wholesale accounts, they hope to expand that offering to national accounts in retail, institutional, and wholesale. Continues Mr. Tangry, “This printer will help me to retain the clients I have and add new ones, too. It will be additive to our topline and bottom line sales results.”

Both firms look forward to a long-term partnership. Mr. Tangry concludes:

“Our credibility in the market depends on our ability to deliver the best solution, on time, and at a competitive price. Our partners Durst and Global Imaging are in my opinion the best way to do that in the new market we are entering. I couldn't have managed this acquisition without Global’s expertise and the Garage’s marketplace in helping me sell three other pieces of equipment. This is what makes them such great
partners to grow with.”

Lake Graphics will begin offering high-quality wholesale fabric printing from their Durst 325 beginning in November 2017.
