DRUPA 2016 delegates will be instantly transported from Germany to Japan when they visit the Roland DG booth (Hall 9, Booth E04-1). Visitors will have the chance to take an immersive, 360-degree virtual tour of Roland DG’s Hamamatsu factory; going on to the production line to see the newly-launched TrueVIS VG printer/cutter series being built and discovering the care and precision that goes into every Roland device.

Gillian Montanaro, Head of Marketing EMEA, Roland DG: ‘Our new TrueVIS VG Series truly is the future of print & cut so what better way to showcase its cutting-edge capabilities than with this exciting and innovative immersive video experience? Viewers will get a fascinating insight into the meticulous process by which Roland devices are constructed and the rigour with which they are tested. We look forward to welcoming customers to the Roland DG booth to share our enthusiasm for this extraordinary technology.’
A unique production process

Rather than use robots and conveyor belts, Roland assembles its newest devices according to its unique Digital Yatai production process, with a single technician constructing each machine to ensure the reliability and quality for which Roland products are renowned. Viewers will pick up some interesting and little-known facts about how their device is made; for example if a screw is accidentally dropped on the floor, it is rejected and a new one is used in order to safeguard the machine against even the slightest imperfection.

In addition to the immersive video tour, the Roland booth will be packed with inspirational samples and outdoor and indoor applications, plus the very latest in Roland’s range of market-leading digital print solutions.

Discover our booth

Gillian Montanaro: ‘Our theme for the booth is ‘discover’ and in addition to the TrueVIS VG, we will be demonstrating an impressive range of new devices, inks and software, including our high production EJ-640 eco-solvent printer, the recently launched VersaUV LEF-300 UV-LED inkjet printer and the Texart XT-640 dye sublimation transfer printer.

Whether visitors are digital print veterans or simply weighing up the benefits of diversifying into digital print, we want to help customers discover the best possible technologies and applications for their business in order to achieve success and be as profitable as possible.’
