A particularly environmentally friendly and resource-saving production in the Black Forest and the only biros in the world that has been awarded the Blue Angel (DE-UZ 200) including refill, refill paste and finishing: Schneider Reco is now part of the FLYERALARM range. With this pen, the e-commerce company is the only online promotional products retailer to offer its customers the opportunity to place messages and have them taken note of in the long term.

We’ve certainly experienced our fair share of challenges in 2020, but this unprecedented year has also allowed some new and unexpected business opportunities to emerge. In the signage industry, we’ve seen an increase in demand for directional signage, protective screens and graphics explaining government health guidelines…but these signs are not always installed at eye level.

As the coronavirus pandemic progressed during the spring quarter at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Facilities Operations Executive Director Jude Fledderman started thinking about posting signs on campus to help people safely navigate the campus in the age of COVID-19.

More than 100 photographers from all over the world had one goal in the summer of 2020: to give hope to Africa's animals, nature and people in times of Corona. This is the short version of the idea of "Prints for Wildlife". The world's best wildlife photographers and young photographic talents from the African continent "donated" their strongest motifs. The pictures were sold as limited FineArt prints for a good cause - for a total of 660.000 dollars. Hahnemühle supported the project with the new and award-winning Hahnemühle Hemp paper and an additional donation from their own Green Rooster environmental initiative.

Canon wants to go far up the ladder for the good cause: On 26 September, the company will print the world's longest digital photo at the Oberstdorf ski jump. With this world record attempt, Canon is supporting "Schaut hin! e.V.", an association for child and victim support. The campaign is taking place as part of the 8th Oberstdorf Photo Summit, where numerous offers and exhibitions on all aspects of photography await interested parties and fans of photography and video formats from 23 to 27 September. Interested parties can follow the action shortly and join the charity campaign at www.worldrecord.canon.de.

Traffic Sign Shops Say Good-bye to Screen Printing
Across the globe, consumers are demonstrating their demand for sustainable products -and a preference for dealing with companies that have integrated a culture of sustainability. Sustainability has many facets - but at its core is the safety and quality of life for the planet’s inhabitants, while limiting negative impacts on the environment with a focus on renewable resources. Traffic sign screen printing, with its unavoidable use of high VOC solvent inks, and wastewater streams generated by producing cleaning screens, has long been in our sights for a sustainability makeover.

Preserving means preserving, means protecting. This is what happened to an old building in Coburg (Upper Franconia/Bavaria). The individual monument was built in 1890 in the neo-renaissance style and is now a residential and commercial building. The house was renovated with great commitment and many details of the lost character shine again in new splendour today. An absolute eye-catcher is the spacious staircase, the original character of which was completely sacrificed to the pragmatism of the time as a result of the renovation work in the 1960s and 1980s.
