When technology tells you where the shoe will be too tight for your foot, the airport signposting system not only shows you the way but also displays flight details and retail bargains or the drive-thru allows you to establish direct digital eye contact with the barista, then advertising and digital agencies, retailers and branded product manufacturers have again delivered striking evidence of their performance. The digital showcase projects at the PoS will be recognised with the Digital Retail Award at viscom in Frankfurt. 2016 saw 17 projects being nominated for the awards in the three categories “Instore”, “To-Store” and “Online, Mobile”. For particularly innovative solutions the jury can present the “Special Award” in each category. The nominees will be presented on the “digital retail space” in Hall 8, D33 from 2 to 4 November.
