With the overarching theme “Nothing New, Everything New”, Heimtextil launches the motto of the trend season 21/22 and provides an outlook on the design topics for the international trade fair for home and contract textiles, taking place from 12 to 15 January 2021 in Frankfurt am Main.

Leading representatives from the home textiles industry view the upcoming Heimtextil (12-15 January 2021) as a decisive way to boost their business activities after the restart. They have also expressed their confidence in Messe Frankfurt's comprehensive protection and hygiene concept. Both trade and industry thus consider the prerequisites for a safe and successful Heimtextil to be met.

Reliable, faster SureColor SC-F10000 offers textile industry reproducibly high print quality
Epson introduces the SureColor SC-F10000, its first 76.8-inch wide format printer. The SC-F10000 is a newly developed sublimation printer for textile producers with particularly high demands on productivity, speed and reliability. The numerous work areas of the new machine include the production of fashion items, sportswear, furniture, promotional items and soft signage. The new Epson SureColor SC-F10000 will be available from qualified retailers from September 2020.

The Heimtextil Trend Council recently had an online meeting to forecast how the crisis is influencing interior design, which innovations will enrich our lives in future and which trend themes we will focus on over the next year.

In light of the continuing worldwide shortage of surgical masks due to the increased spread of the COVID­19 coronavirus infection, leading flat knitting solutions provider SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. of Wakayama, Japan has released knitting data for another version of knitted mask to be produced on its computerized knitting machines. This is in addition to mask data released on two previous occasions on 19th and 25th March.
