Following a successful expansion of its metal decorating plant ln Charlotte, NC late last year, INX International Ink Co. recently doubled the size of its manufacturing facility in Edwardsville, KS. Completed in April, the now 75,000 square-foot building improves the company’s ability to support continued growth for its highly popular Energy Curable inks and coatings products.

Foster On-a-Roll Lifters® are now available for immediate shipment from a European warehouse directly to European and Middle Eastern customers. Announcing the arrangement, Foster CEO Ted Borowsky said: "Foster lifters are stocked in a number of configurations to complement the various models of roll-to-roll printers available in the marketplace. In response to the popularity of these lifters, Foster lifters are now available for shipment to customers directly from a warehouse in the Netherlands. Lifters for HP latex printers are particularly popular, as are those for AGFA, EFI and VUTEk superwide printers, as well as EFI Reggiani textile printers. Foster lifters are available to handle media rolls as heavy as 450 kg (990 lbs), and as large as 80 cm (31.5 inches) in diameter. Repair parts for Foster lifters are also available from the warehouse."

Just five months on from installing an Inca Digital Onset X2 from Fujifilm, Swedish printer Billes Tryckeri AB has seen a 30 per cent increase in wide format production output. With an offset printing heritage dating back more than 50 years and ten years of more recent digital print production experience, the company employs 125 people and turns over 250 million krona a year (nearly €26 million). Digital printing now makes up around 40 per cent of the company’s output and, in line with trends in the wider industry, this proportion is growing.
