At drupa 2024, Vulcan will be presenting an innovation in the field of digital cutting technology: a fully automatic flatbed vinyl cutter that feeds sheets seamlessly. This brings a huge boost to productivity when using flatbed cutters - after all, the feeder can hold around 600 sheets of 300g/m2 paper. The device can also cut or crease two SRA3 sheets at the same time. The digital finishing specialist from the Nepata Group will be represented in Hall 12, Stand D86 with a broad network of Vulcan dealers from all over the world.
Digital print finishing stands for flexibility in production. The Vulcan AFC-1007 adds high productivity: the new, fully automatic flatbed vinyl cutter feeds the sheets seamlessly. With a stacking height of up to 30 cm, it ensures long, uninterrupted runs.
With a cutting area of 700x1000 mm, it can process two SRA3 sheets simultaneously. This, together with its top cutting speed of 1000 mm/s and a high-resolution CCD camera for register mark detection, makes it one of the most efficient flatbed cutters on the market.
Combination of performance and versatility
It is important to Vulcan that its appliances offer both performance and versatility. This is also the case with the AFC-1007: A special feature is its ability to cut corrugated cardboard with a thickness of up to 6 mm. This makes it the ideal candidate for the production of folding boxes.
Thanks to automation, it is also suitable for small batches, individualized media and special productions in print shops, advertising technology or industry: tags, displays or playing cards are just some of the many possible applications. The cutting of window films or signs can also be carried out effectively.
The two-tool head supports both tangential and drag knives. In addition to cutting knives, creasing wheels and drawing pens are also available, with more tools to follow. It is operated via an intuitive touchscreen.

In addition to the new AFC-1007 Auto-Feed Flatbed Cutter, Vulcan will be showing other flatbed vinyl cutters and sheet cutters in a live demo at drupa.
