Keypoint Intelligence announces the availability of the 2021-2026 Worldwide Digital Textile Forecast. Over the last decade, the adoption of digital printing has accelerated and this technology is even becoming a popular option for the future of industrial-scale printing. However, the best type of ink to use in this sector is still debated, and the decision depends largely on the factors you consider.

Water-based inks and printing are an increasingly popular option in many market applications. When ink chemistry and performance can be optimised, they promise a safer, more sustainable alternative to solvent inks in print rooms, especially for packaging converters.

The benefits of adopting UV LED technology for ink curing are far-ranging for screen printing companies. UV LED ink curing technology provides a sustainable and environmentally friendly method of screen printing that cuts costs and protects employees.

Keypoint Intelligence recently published a market forecast for direct-to-garment (DTG) printers for the years of 2021-2026. The forecast includes devices used exclusively for DTG printing, covering the range of devices from commercial entry-level desktop devices to industrial high-volume printers with several platens side-by-side including toner transfer (EP) printers that are competing in the commercial entry-level sector at a low price point. Direct-to-Film (DTF) placement figures are also included as a separate pivot table in the forecast deliverables.

Wide format is regarded as one of the most exciting areas of the print industry, with one of the main reasons for this being that every day is varied. Each customer you deal with will want something different; every project will have unique specifications; and, to some extent, every surface has distinctive properties that will affect how a graphic film can adhere.
