Alwan Color Expertise, a world-leader in color management and process control software will host another in their Color Webinar Series on Tuesday, November 3 at 1:00 pm EST. Multiple output devices, multiple RIPs and different substrates present huge challenges for printers and impact significantly color reproduction and matching. Dave Hunter, one of the original GRACoL G7 Experts will be presenting the difference between "Colorimetric" and "Visual Appearance" color matching and sharing some tips on solving these color production challenges.

Colorimetric Match
"Matching brand colors in various printing locations using different printing devices is always a challenge", states Elie Khoury, President, Alwan Color Expertise. "However, customer expectation is that color should be the same regardless of the print process or substrate. Our webinar will show attendees how to achieve a colorimetrically accurate match on different devices and substrates."

Appearance Match
In some instances, images and visuals do not always have to match accurately across devices. For some jobs such as posters, signage and display, visuals are better reproduced and more appealing to the eye when they exhibit vivid colors and benefit from the print device full gamut. However, these images should share a common appearance and offer a consistent feel and look in terms of color reproduction. The webinar will show attendees how to achieve a shared appearance on various devices and substrate with maximum color gamut, with minimum labor.
