- Sets New Industry Standards and Increases Flexibility
- Company Aims to Outperform Competitors
Zitt GmbH & Co. KG has made a groundbreaking investment in its future. By purchasing a state-of-the-art digital printer from the renowned company swissQprint, the Munich-based metal and plastic processing company (www.zitt.de) is preparing for the challenges of the coming years and setting new standards in industrial labeling and advertising technology. This move also positions the company to meet future digital demands—a step that no one in Munich would want to miss.
With the upgrade to such a high-end process in digital printing, the company aims to pave the way for the future, not only by becoming faster, more flexible, and cost-effective but also by producing with higher quality and tailored solutions for a broader range of applications.
This new digital printing technology represents the largest investment in the company’s history and is a significant step towards sustainably strengthening Zitt’s competitiveness. Compared to the previously offered screen printing, the new digital printing technology offers significant advantages: It enables the company to produce more sustainably, cost-effectively, and quickly. These efficiency gains will not only shorten production times but also reduce costs and conserve resources, thereby lowering environmental impact. In comparison to screen printing, the swissQprint allows for significant savings in chemicals and energy, making future production much more environmentally friendly.
The machine, capable of producing both flatbed format goods and virtually endless roll-to-roll prints, also offers several advantages in high-precision color management: “We can reproduce corporate identity colors exactly and thus meet customer demands even more accurately across a wider range of sectors,” said Managing Director Dr. Bernhard Selk. “This opens up new business fields for us in addition to the manufacturing areas we’ve already been working in, such as products for advertising technology or design products. Despite the high quality, orders can now be completed much faster and more cost-effectively. This significantly strengthens the company’s market position. “With this investment, we are well-equipped for the future and can offer our customers even better solutions,” added Dr. Selk. “The swissQprint digital printer enables us to meet the increasing demands of our customers and gives us an advantage. Although similar quality can be achieved in the Asian market, the delivery times are much longer. Our ecological footprint is also much better, and, not least, our customers can coordinate details more effectively due to our proximity.”
Zitt GmbH & Co. KG aims to further expand its position as a forward-thinking all-rounder with this move. The Bavarian company has been a leader in the printing sector for decades, producing custom orders across various industries. With its own research in surface technology, the company is also consistently developing new processes—in both plastic and metal—that offer customers solutions at ever-new, contemporary quality levels in combination with printing technology. The focus here is on application-oriented and customer-specific solutions.
