Ultrachem is one of the UK’s largest independent manufacturers and suppliers of coatings and press room consumables, supplying UK and global offset, heatset, coldset and flexo print businesses.
In Sept 2014, Ultrachem took the strategic decision to move from two existing London sites, into one main distribution and office location based in Enfield. This site will support Ultrachem’s existing manufacturing bases in Bristol and Leeds, and distribution hubs in Nottingham and Dublin. The move represents a considerable investment by Ultrachem and will see customers benefiting from an improved and speedier service.
Janet Brinton, Ultrachem Director explains, “By bringing the sales office and main distribution sites together we are able to reduce the chain of communication, reduce costs and improve operating efficiencies. All of these factors will result in a much slicker operation which will see customers benefiting from faster deliveries, quicker response times and improved decision making.”
Ultrachem has grown strategically since the 80’s by acquiring other businesses including Keane Graphics in 2003, RW Coatings in 2010, Solvo, GB Graphics, NEGS and Russell Webb Coatings. These acquisitions have extended Ultrachem’s offering into blanket conversion, commercial inks, plates, sundries and developed considerably its product range to the packaging and flexo industries.
The move strengthens Ultrachem’s position as the first choice manufacturer and supplier for quality coatings and press room consumables and services. Janet added “Along with the move, we are also currently adding to our team of Business Development Managers in various areas in the UK, This will ensure we remain at the forefront of customer service and product innovation.”
