SIC-UK have developed a new set of inks with enhanced adhesion.
The inks are designed for use in High Resolution DOD inkjet printers such as the ones powered by the Xaar 128 heads. The inks are solvent based and have comparable properties to the current solvent DOD inks. The main difference is that they were designed specifically to stick to PP, PE and High-Density Plastics. A typical application is extrusion where HD materials are often used but also any other printing and coding application involving high-density plastics. Particular care was taken to preserve an opaque print to guarantee a strong print contrast. The new high-adhesion inks are currently available in black (dye based) and white (pigmented).
