Canon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, today announced that its best-selling imagePROGRAF MFP 770 / imagePROGRAF MFP 670 large-format printers will be combined with new L36e/L24e scanners for even better usability and efficiency. Ideal for a wide range of small business enterprises including construction, subcontractors, design offices, reprographics, education and retail, the new devices offer an effortless way to make large format copies directly, without the need for a computer. The improved models will replace the best-selling iPF770 MFP L36 and iPF670 MFP L24 from September 2017.
The scale of the MFP market for large-format inkjet printers has been expanding over the last few years, particularly in CAD operations1. Increasing demand for workplace productivity and the ability to scan and copy drawings, has driven a need for compact yet powerful devices that are easy to use and unbeatably efficient. In response to these trends, Canon has developed the iPF770 MFP L36e and iPF670 MFP L24e which provides high-volume, rapid output at competitive prices. The robust and sleek design now includes an intuitive touch-screen scanner panel with a user-friendly interface requiring no prior experience for fast and simple copying.

Other key benefits include perfect colour consistency and accurate images, thanks to the 5-colour pigment and dye ink system with a reformulated colour spectrum. Both devices also include scan-to-network and scan-to-USB functionality, to minimise the need to authorise jobs via a connected PC. Scan and copy modes can also be adjusted from Draft to Best to support the printing of technical drawings, large format posters or teaching materials. Meanwhile simple image adjustment settings are available for computer aided design (CAD) environments that require more detailed prints.
The updated devices are now compatible with SmartWorks MFP Lite for enhanced convenience and fully interoperable with modern working environments thanks to cloud integration using Direct Print & Share. For busy offices and workspaces, multiple MFPs can be connected to the same network. The continuous copying capability also improves productivity and enables easy data processing on network computers.
