Epson "Cloud Solution PORT" allows close monitoring and control of printer fleets
Epson offers print service providers an Internet-based solution for Epson large format printers to optimise their production runs with "Cloud Solution PORT". It enables them to query the printer status of a distributed print infrastructure via the integrated browser of a wide variety of devices such as PCs, smartphones and tablets. Customers are thus able to monitor printers at different branch offices from a central location or from any other location. The solution offers configurable dashboards for this purpose, whose clear graphics enable simple and accurate analysis of the connected machines. Print jobs, ink and maintenance statuses are determined and compiled into a report. This system reduces downtime and interruptions to print runs.
The first utility for this platform will be the "Production Monitor", which analyses the status of all running production runs in real time. Users will be able to see when jobs have been completed or how much time is still required for them. This makes it easier to plan and optimise production and to use materials efficiently. This program generates daily reports and thus also enables long-term control of the printer fleet.
Epson "Cloud Solution PORT" will support all modern Epson large format printers and is available via a separate download.
