Cutwater successfully integrates with Shrink Packing Systems Epicor P21 ERP to help enhance the capabilities of their inventory and provide insight

Cutwater Solutions, the designer and provider of Cutwater AIM (Advanced Inventory Management) software, announced today that Shrink Packaging Systems (SPS), a leader in sustainable and intelligent packaging solutions, has implemented Cutwater AIM to enhance the capabilities of their inventory and readily provide more insight.

SPS has been serving customers, and fulfilling their packaging needs for over 45 years. With locations throughout the Northeast, this problem solving company has continued to grow. Along with the growth of a company, comes the expansion of inventory, and keeping track of SPS' massive inventory can be tiresome. SPS was in need of a tool to help enhance their capabilities so they could better understand their inventory and continue to focus on bringing measureable value to their customers.

"Identifying the products that could become dead, is probably even more important than knowing which products are already dead," said George Hlinka, Corporate Controller of Shrink Packing Systems. "We didn't have those capabilities before. There was never an easy way to do that. Now, we put in the right filters, and boom, we have it."

Cutwater provides business owners with several reports that are available every day to make better and more efficient business decisions. SPS saw the most value in the tools' Inactive Customer Report which, with one click, identifies which Customers have stopped buying as well as details about their sales history. In addition, it can quickly identify which active customers have stopped buying certain items. This allows for a chance to quickly reverse lost revenue, which is less costly than attaining new customers.

Cutwater AIM standard reports identify items within a distributors' inventory that are out of line with demand. On average, clients using the Cutwater tool have seen over a 10% reduction in inventory and saved several hours of work. The use of Cutwater's demand planning reports provides business owners and planners with actionable information about trends and forecasting so that they are able to invest in the right products and receive a solid return on their investment.

"We know keeping track of the behavior of inventory and the buying patterns of customers can be a challenge for wholesale distributors," said Sujit Singh, managing director of Cutwater Solutions. "We have designed our Inactive Customers Report to instantly find lost clients and lost revenue. Cutwater's reporting tools will help SPS gain the capabilities and insight they are looking for. In the process, it will also help users do less data gathering and report building and more actual analysis and decision making."
