tesa donates 100 kilometers of warning adhesive tape to Corona clinics

There is currently neither a vaccination nor a drug against the coronavirus. Therefore, one thing above all is useful: keep your distance! In many areas ground markings serve as an aid to this. "Since we know that in particularly sensitive areas such as hospitals, so-called Social Distancing Tapes are urgently needed that can be stuck to the floor quickly and easily, we will give them to all major clinics in Germany," says Dr. Norman Goldberg, CEO of tesa SE. Among the first recipients are the university clinics in Hamburg (UKE), Berlin (Charité), Gießen, Marburg, and Cologne as well as the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich.
In a delivery to around 30 hospitals, the international adhesive tape group is donating 3000 rolls with a total length of 100 kilometers in the three color variants yellow, red, and black-yellow. "Only six weeks ago, I would not have thought it possible that our tesa warning tapes would be given this high status in public life," explains Goldberg. "I am all the more pleased that we are able to provide a little support in this way to hospitals where doctors and nurses are currently doing a great job". The attention-grabbing "spacers" come from the tesa plant in Offenburg and the plant in Concagno in northern Italy - a region that is extremely hard hit by the spread of the corona virus.
The provision of warning adhesive tapes is related to a major aid programme recently launched by the Beiersdorf Group, of which tesa is a member. At the end of March, Beiersdorf announced an international emergency program worth €50 million to support the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic. Among other things, the company produces 1,000,000 liters of disinfectant on five continents for central public institutions and emergency services around the world. tesa also plans to equip numerous hospitals at many more of the company's 56 locations with Social Distancing Tapes.
